Tried a few places this week. Tashi Momo Corner has the best steamed momos for the price. Go before 1 pm, they sell out.
Found fresh khambir bread near Baroo this morning, still warm. Perfect with butter tea. Go early.
Spent the afternoon walking near Parkachik. The glacier views are stunning, and the local guide was friendly.
Stopped for chai and parathas. Very friendly, good for a break before Zojila.
Travelling with two kids and elderly parents. Looking for a homestay in Turtuk with warm rooms and local food.
Reached Shey monastery at 6 am and the light on the palace was incredible. Quiet, no crowds. Worth the early alarm.
Stopped at a small guesthouse in Mulbekh for tea on the way to Leh. Clean, friendly, great view of the Chamba statue.
Walked up to Karsha monastery from Padum, around 90 minutes. Fantastic views over the valley.
Clearest sky I have ever seen. Wrap up well, it gets freezing by 9 pm.
